Experienced Claims Estimator – Ste-Marie Chevrolet Buick GMC Corvette (Saint-Rémi)
Important information: Ste-Marie Chevrolet Buick GMC Corvette is looking for an experienced claims estimator to join our team in Saint-Rémi. You will assess and estimate mechanical and body damages on GM vehicles and other brands, providing accurate and competitive estimates and working closely with insurers and customers.
Job Description As a claims estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing damages, preparing accurate estimates, and proposing optimal solutions for the safety and durability of vehicles. You will collaborate with technicians, insurers, and customers to ensure quality repairs and an impeccable customer experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze damages and prepare detailed repair estimates.
- Calculate costs for parts, labor, and repairs, adhering to industry standards and internal practices.
- Assess repair needs and propose safe and durable solutions.
- Communicate effectively with technicians, insurers, and customers to clarify details and obtain approval.
- Prepare and present estimation files for approval and follow-up on claims until completion.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, warranties, and deadlines; maintain repair quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement of estimation processes and after-sales service.
Profile Sought – Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive damage estimation (claims).
- General knowledge of automotive estimating processes and software, as well as parts and labor databases.
- Good understanding of repair procedures, parts, and labor times.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; ability to negotiate and maintain good relationships with insurers and customers.
- Rigor, attention to detail, and customer service orientation; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technical training (college/day programs) in bodywork, auto mechanics, or related field is an asset.
- Valid driver's license.
