Senior Financial Controller – Mercedes-Benz Ste-Agathe

Mercedes-Benz Ste-Agathe is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to strengthen its finance team. Under the supervision of the financial management, you will be a cornerstone of financial performance and the reliability of management data.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the monthly close, financial closures, and quarterly and annual reporting in accordance with current accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analyses, and reports for management, financial partners, and external auditors.
• Establish and monitor the annual budget, forecasts, and variance analyses; propose operational actions to optimize profitability.
• Manage cash flows, liquidity forecasts, and operational financing in collaboration with operational teams.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, inventory and asset management; ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise the accounting team and coordinate interactions with external audit firms.
• Provide analytical support to management for strategic decisions and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for financial processes and ERP systems.

Candidate Profile

• Degree: Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is an asset.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial control role; experience in automotive, distribution, or retail preferred.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and tax requirements.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with an ERP system; knowledge of inventory management systems preferred.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to present results to management.
• Personal Qualities: team spirit, leadership, ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment; fluent French mandatory, operational English is an asset.
• Ethics, results-oriented, and detail-oriented.

Skills and Tools

• Experience with ERP systems and inventory management tools; familiarity with CDK Global, SERTI, PBS Systems, and SDS is a plus.
