Experienced Controller – Elite Ford Saint-Jérôme (Groupe Tremblay)

Elite Ford Saint-Jérôme, a major player in the automotive industry in the region, is seeking an experienced Controller to support the financial and operational performance of sales and service activities, and to ensure an impeccable customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy of monthly and annual financial information; prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Lead the monthly closing process: variance analysis, forecasts, and the annual budget.
• Control costs and margins by department (Sales, Service, Parts); ensure precise accountability and clear visibility on profitability.
• Supervise customer and supplier accounts, bank reconciliations, cash flow, and liquidity.
• Implement and improve internal controls; ensure compliance with accounting practices (GAAP and Quebec taxation) and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with management on financial analyses, investment decisions, and profit forecasts.
• Manage and develop the accounting team; promote operational efficiency and process automation.
• Work with ERP systems and analytical tools (advanced Excel and digital data management) to provide clear and actionable reports.
• Participate in optimizing sector-specific processes (inventory management, vehicle and parts valuation).

Desired Profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation (or in progress) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial control or equivalent role; experience in the automotive or distribution sector is an asset.
• Knowledge of accounting principles applied in Quebec; familiarity with IFRS/GAAP standards and fiscal obligations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and analytical tools; excellent Excel skills and a strong analytical sense.
• Analytical mindset, rigor, and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Communication and leadership skills; ability to collaborate with various teams and present financial information clearly.
• Operational English is a plus; results-oriented and customer service focus.
