Job Mission
Contribute directly to the financial performance of authorized dealerships and support strategic decisions at head office through rigorous management control, robust financial processes, and relevant analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements; ensure report accuracy and monitor deviations from budget and forecasts.
- Supervise accounting closures, bank reconciliations, management of accounts payable and receivable, and cash flow control.
- Lead operational cost control, margins, and inventories; propose optimization and profitability actions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Parts departments to strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes.
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and Quebec fiscal requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and procedures and support reporting initiatives for management.
Profile Sought
- Degree: Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in management control or accounting; experience in the automotive or retail sector is a plus.
- Technical skills: Proficiency with ERP tools and Excel; knowledge of accounting software (CDK Global, Oracle, Reynolds, or equivalent) preferred.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of Canadian accounting standards and Quebec tax requirements.
- Personal qualities: Strong analytical skills, rigor, autonomy, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Languages: Bilingual French/English is an asset.
