Senior Financial Controller – Granby (Automotive Dealership)
Our client, a well-established automotive dealership in Granby, is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to play a key role in financial performance and strategic management. You will be a true business partner for management and actively contribute to operational and financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting activities (collections, accounts payable, accrued expenses, fixed assets)
- Ensure monthly closing of the general ledger and analysis/reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Establish annual budgets and analyze departmental profitability; closely monitor financial performance
- Act as a strategic partner by providing financial analysis to guide business decisions
- Participate in planning and overall management of operations
- Identify opportunities for optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Negotiate and manage strategic agreements (financial institutions, group and corporate insurance, etc.)
- Manage and monitor regulatory files (CNESST, tax authorities, etc.) and ensure compliance
- Assist in preparing the year-end tax filing
- Supervise, motivate, and support the current team
- Coordinate inter-departmental efforts and ensure smooth daily operations
Profile Sought
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience
- Experience in the automotive sector (a significant asset)
- Mobilizing leadership, excellent influencing and team-building skills
- Big-picture vision and understanding of operational issues of a SME
- Results-oriented, proactive, and decisive
- Ability to thrive in a versatile and dynamic environment
- Autonomy, sound judgment, and high sense of responsibility
- Excellent computer skills
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial control (Controller position or equivalent)
