Job Description

The Controller is a cornerstone of our organization, ensuring the financial and operational integrity of the dealership. You will oversee accounting and financial activities, closing processes, and reporting, while controlling costs, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with current standards. You will work closely with the Sales, Service, and Parts departments to support profitability and customer satisfaction, and you will actively participate in audits and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and financial activities and ensure monthly and annual closings are completed on time.
• Control costs, analyze variances, and monitor margins, discounts, and promotions to optimize profitability.
• Prepare and present financial statements, performance reports, and ad hoc analyses to management.
• Implement and oversee compliance with internal controls, procedures, and accounting and tax standards.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, cash flow, and payroll processes; supervise the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze operational processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Collaborate with the Sales, Service, and Parts departments to optimize financial and operational results.
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure traceability of financial information.
• Manage inventory and cost of sales, and contribute to stock optimization.
• Act as a strategic partner to management by providing data and analyses to support decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controller or financial analyst; experience in the automotive sector is a plus.
• Proven skills in cost control, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and the MS Office suite; rigor, organization, and excellent analytical skills.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting and tax standards in Quebec and Canada.
• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and ability to work with multiple departments.
• Valid driver's license; availability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Automotive experience is an asset.
