Bodyshop Technician

CARSTAR Vaudreuil, located in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, is seeking an experienced Dent Repair Technician to join its team.

Job Description

• Job Type: Full-time
• Perform dent removal and straightening of dents on vehicles, prioritizing paintless dent repair (PDR) methods when possible and in accordance with CARSTAR standards
• Assess damages and determine repair methods and timelines in collaboration with the body shop team
• Prepare the vehicle and the workstation, use and maintain specialized tools, and ensure workshop cleanliness
• Follow work orders and internal procedures, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with other technicians and service department stakeholders to optimize repairs and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in dent repair or a related role
• Knowledge of paintless dent repair (PDR) techniques and related tools
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and follow workshop procedures
• Good manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail; good physical condition
• Team spirit and ability to work independently when necessary

• Surface preparation for painting
• Body and chassis straightening
• Fiberglass and body repair
• Damage assessment and selection of repair methods and timelines
• Tracking work orders and adherence to internal procedures
