Apprentice PDR Technician – Body Shop

Job Description We are recruiting an Apprentice Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician to join the body shop at Volkswagen Popular in Montreal. You will work closely with body technicians and painters to restore the integrity of parts and prepare surfaces for subsequent repairs.

Responsibilities

• Dent the metal panels according to manufacturer standards and internal procedures.
• Straighten and prepare surfaces to provide a suitable base for further repairs.
• Use manual and specialized tools (hammers, spring presses, templates, etc.) to realign the sheets while preserving structural integrity.
• Protect adjacent areas and prepare surfaces for repair or restoration steps.
• Coordinate with body technicians and painters to plan repairs and meet deadlines.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop.
• Maintain inventory of tools and ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the workstation.
• Document repairs and communicate relevant observations to the supervisor.

Profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in PDR or related position.
• Knowledge of manual dent removal techniques, body tolerances, and associated tools.
• Excellent manual skills, precision, and attention to detail; good physical condition and endurance.
• Team spirit, initiative, and good communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to procedures.
