Payroll Technician

Payroll Technician – Saint-Eustache

The HGrégoire Group, a rapidly expanding player in the automotive sector, is seeking a Payroll Technician to ensure the processing, verification, and monitoring of payroll across multiple sites. Under the supervision of the Payroll Manager, you will ensure the accuracy of payroll and compliance with regulatory obligations.

Main Responsibilities

• Process payroll for approximately 350 employees across multiple sites
• Open and close employee files
• Produce monthly reports for the joint committee and the union
• Develop reports for internal management
• Prepare T4s, Relevé 1s, and all related reports
• Generate employment records (RE)
• Administer group insurance plans and group RRSP
• Handle required payroll declarations and communications
• Manage vacation banks and personal days
• Manage access to time clock and payroll systems
• Respond to managers’ and employees’ payroll-related questions

Candidate Profile (Requirements)

• 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of legal frameworks, payroll standards, and the full payroll cycle
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now software
• Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (an asset)
• Experience in a unionized environment (a significant asset)
• Experience in the automotive industry (a significant asset)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Discretion and respect for confidentiality
• Rigor, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Team spirit and ability to work independently
