Job Description

Within Barnabé Group Rive-Sud, a key player in the automotive sector comprising several dealerships, we are seeking a Clerk / Accounting Technician to support the controller in our daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Data entry, verification, and processing of supplier invoices; payment tracking and bank reconciliations
• Management of customer accounts: issuing invoices, tracking receipts, and follow-up if necessary
• Assistance with monthly and quarterly closures: preparing journals, reconciliations, and analyses
• Monitoring inter-site operations: posting and reconciling entries between dealerships and head office
• Managing operations related to inventory and fixed assets; collaborating with operational teams to ensure accuracy of costs and stock
• Compliance with internal procedures, tax obligations (GST/QST), and internal controls

Desired Profile

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a similar position
• Degree in accounting techniques (DEC in accounting or equivalent)
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; knowledge of an ERP is an asset
• Rigor, good organizational skills, team spirit, and excellent communication
• Knowledge of the automotive sector or dealerships is a plus
