Assistant / Deputy Accounting Technician — Capitale Nissan, Nissan dealership in Quebec

Overview

We are seeking an Assistant/Deputy Accountant dedicated to supporting the accounting department in a dynamic, customer service-oriented environment. You will handle all accounting tasks related to the sale of new and used vehicles, while ensuring compliance and administrative follow-up.

Key responsibilities

• Record sales of new and used vehicles and document warranties sold during the month
• Maintain and update the commission register
• Process payments related to vehicles, including payments to the Bank of Montreal (BMO)
• Register new and used vehicles in the system and monitor their inventory
• Verify month-end deadlines and account for the PSP report, ensuring PSPs are correctly allocated
• Perform standard accounting entries
• Manage files related to the mutual fund and ensure compliance with CNESST requirements; prepare and present CNESST reports
• Manage subsidy requests for electric vehicles (federal and provincial)
• Track CNESST aspects and claims related to the $500 loyalty program
• Discount the files for new and used vehicles; store and manage purchased files
• Prepare and present documents related to new and used vehicles at reception

Profile

• Mandatory experience in the automotive sector (minimum 1 year)
• Degree or equivalent in accounting or financial management
• Good command of accounting entries and CNESST procedures and subsidies
• Proven skills in accounting software and Excel; familiarity with automotive management systems
• Rigorous, well-organized, attentive to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team

Conditions and benefits

• Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday (no weekends work)
• Compensation: CAD 30 to 35/hour depending on experience and skills
