Accounts Clerk / Technician — Volvo Cars West Island (Groupe Dilawri)

Main Responsibilities
- Open and set up new suppliers in the accounting system
- Verify and enter supplier invoices
- Prepare and issue payments (checks, deposits, and electronic payments)
- Print and archive supplier reports; maintain records up to date
- Reconcile statements and general ledgers; ensure deadlines are met
- Manage petty cash and respond to supplier inquiries
- Perform inter-company and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare account analyses and participate in special projects
- Daily reconciliation and deposits of received payments (after-sales service and parts)
- Record collections and update the customer ledger
- File proof of payments and prepare cash deposits
- Prepare customer statements and follow up on collections
- Participate in month-end closing processes
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience in accounting; ideally in the automotive sales sector
- Good knowledge of accounting cycles and monthly closings
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel)
- Knowledge of CDK software is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in French; English is an asset
Minimum Experience
- 1 year as an Accounts Clerk / Technician
