Accounting clerk

Position: Accounting Clerk – Auto Dealership (Brossard)

Under the supervision of the controller, the accounting clerk ensures daily deposits, manages accounts receivable and payable, and supports the sales team in certain administrative functions. The role requires high accuracy and an excellent understanding of dealership operations.

Responsibilities

• Record and balance sales files ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Validate commission calculations for sales representatives and sales managers.
• Prepare requisitions and process the departments' daily cheques.
• Track accounts receivable related to sales.
• Reconcile certain supplier accounts.
• Prepare account analyses for the controller.
• Assist external auditors during audits.
• Support the controller in various accounting tasks.

Requirements

• Experience as an accounting clerk in an automobile dealership (required).
• Experience with CDK Global (required) and proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal clients, key suppliers, and employees.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in English (an asset).
