Experienced Accounting Clerk – Car Dealership (South Shore)

Rive-Sud Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT Inc. is a well-established car dealership on the South Shore of Montreal, supporting a sustainable career for over 30 years. As part of the expansion of our administrative team, we are seeking an experienced accounting clerk to join the accounting department.

Mission

Under the supervision of the administrative management, you will primarily handle the processing and accounting of vehicle sales records and accounts receivable management, with knowledge of processes specific to the automotive sector.

Responsibilities

• Sales Accounting
  • Record sales transactions in accounting documents and ensure their reconciliation.
  • Prepare daily reports of sales contracts and verify operations.
  • Compile lists of missing operations and authorize commission payments.
• Accounts Receivable
  • Reconcile and deposit daily received payments, issue receipts, and maintain customer records.
  • Prepare cash deposits and follow up on accounts receivable collections.
• General Accounting and Payments
  • Record financial transactions, issue invoices, and compile relevant data.
  • Maintain accounting documents and verify accounts payable records.
  • Monitor customer accounts, payments, and overdue balances.
  • Reconcile and deposit funds, and prepare payroll-related documents.
• Other Tasks
  • Perform any other duties requested by the administrative management.

Profile

• Significant experience in recording sales records and managing receivables; experience in the automotive sector is a significant asset.
• Proficiency with accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel recommended).
• Knowledge of a dealership management system (DMS) — an asset.
• Rigor, organizational skills, and analytical ability.
• Excellent customer service skills and team spirit.

Minimum Experience

• 2 years of experience in a clerk/accountant position or equivalent, ideally in the automotive field.
