The Position

We are looking for a meticulous, organized, and autonomous individual to assume the role of paymaster within the accounting team. The position reports to the financial controller and involves close collaboration with this person and other departments.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform the full payroll cycle for over 130 employees
• Prepare and verify remittances to government agencies
• Manage employee files (CNESST, disability, etc.)
• Manage collective insurance enrollments, changes, and cancellations
• Verify and reconcile commission reports; balance group insurance invoices
• Produce annual reports (T4 slips, T4A, and Summary 1)
• Prepare journal entries related to payroll and expenses
• Act as a resource for payroll-related questions from employees and management
• Collaborate with the accounting team and management to ensure accuracy of information and adherence to deadlines

Profile Sought

• Significant experience in payroll processing and knowledge of payroll rules in Quebec
• Proficiency in computer tools; knowledge of NetHris software is an asset
• Excellent organization and priority management skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with various departments
