Accountant — Car Dealership (Permanent Position)

Grenier Automobile is seeking a motivated and meticulous accountant to join a dynamic and growing team based in Terrebonne, QC.

About the Position You will be responsible for the reliability of accounting processes, financial tracking, and administrative support within the car dealership. You will directly contribute to the quality of financial statements and the smooth daily operation of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Manage payroll and perform weekly bank reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and auxiliary accounts.
• Manage customer accounts and record purchase invoices.
• Process government remittances and calculate taxable benefits related to vehicles.
• Prepare the annual file for external auditors.
• Supervise and support the office staff.

Desired Profile and Skills

• Mastery of the complete accounting cycle.
• Experience in automobile dealerships (a significant asset).
• Independence, rigor, and team spirit.
• Analytical skills, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in accounting tools and Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
• Good knowledge of tax obligations and government remittances.

Requirements

• College diploma in administrative techniques and/or a bachelor’s degree in administration.
• Relevant experience in general accounting and payroll.
• Excellent communication skills and an analytical mindset.
