Mechanic

Position: Multi-skilled Mechanic – Heavy Equipment and Vehicles (Grande-Rivière Airport)

Permanent full-time position based at Grande-Rivière Airport. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic equipment, as well as vehicles and related systems.

Desired Profile

• Training in heavy machinery mechanics or equivalent education/experience.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in light and heavy vehicle mechanics (gasoline and diesel) and major systems.
• Ability to lift and transport loads up to 50 kg.
• Practical understanding of hydraulic systems and transmission reports.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, plans, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in diagnostics and technical research on computer.
• Class 5 driver's license; Class 1 or 2 preferred.

Mandate and Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and hydraulic assets, as well as air conditioning systems and mobile tires.
• Monitor maintenance and repair needs for heavy equipment, light vehicles, and other organizational equipment.
• Manage data related to work orders, inventories, and repair records in the management platform.
• Write maintenance reports, update inventory data, and order parts.
• Operate snow removal equipment.
• Perform any other related tasks as required.

Working Conditions and Benefits

• Permanent full-time position; schedule of 5 workdays followed by 2 days off, 10 hours per day.
• Gross annual salary: $93,831 – $122,400, depending on experience and skills.
