SAQ Inspector (Evening Shift)

Excellence Peterbilt is seeking an SAQ Inspector for its Sainte-Julie branch to oversee mechanical inspections and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

• Workplace: Sainte-Julie (mechanical inspections are carried out at the Joliette workshop).
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 3:30 PM to midnight.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical inspections in accordance with SAQ requirements.
• Verify vehicle and component compliance.
• Maintain the organization’s quality and safety standards.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and adjustments on trucks, in collaboration with the technical team.
• Work with the service department to plan and carry out periodic checks.

Desired Profile

• Valid SAQ inspector license and/or PEP card (a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years relevant mechanical experience.
• Experience in periodic mechanical verification for SAQ (a plus).
• Experience in preventive maintenance (inspections, changes, or adjustments on trucks).
• Basic English to understand training materials.
• Methodical, autonomous, and focused on quality work.
• Interested in working in a structured environment focused on operational excellence.
