Automotive Technician / Mechanic – Subaru Repentigny (near Montreal)

Subaru Repentigny, a renowned Subaru dealership, is seeking an experienced Technician / Mechanic to join its Service team. Full-time position, growth opportunities, and competitive compensation.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Subaru vehicles and, if necessary, other brands according to manufacturer procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, and functional tests.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical bulletins; use computerized diagnostic tools.
• Document interventions and communicate conclusions to the team and, when necessary, to customers.
• Collaborate with the service team and parts department to ensure quality and meet deadlines.
• Adhere to safety standards and internal procedures.

Technical Skills (Key Tasks)

• Diagnostics and repairs of gasoline engines
• Diagnostics and repairs of anti-pollution systems
• Diagnostics and repairs of hybrid or electric vehicles
• Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning/heating systems
• Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems
• Electrical and electronic diagnostics and repairs
• ECM/PCM/ECU programming
• Suspension and steering repairs
• Hydraulic braking system repairs and maintenance

Desired Profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive mechanics
• Ability to diagnose quickly and work independently while fitting into a team
• Good service orientation and excellent communication skills with clients and team members
• Rigor, attention to detail, and respect for safety and quality standards
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools and ability to read technical diagrams
