Recreational Vehicle Mechanic

Groupe Contant is looking for a recreational vehicle mechanic to join a dynamic team. Open to junior profiles and those wishing to develop their skills, this position includes training and gradual support.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various recreational vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; identify causes and necessary repairs.
• Make adjustments, fine-tuning, and maintenance work according to manufacturers’ standards.
• Conduct tests and verifications after interventions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure quality work.
• Follow internal procedures and health and safety standards.

Vehicles You May Work On

• ATVs
• Snowmobiles / Ski-Doo
• Personal Watercraft / Sea-Doo
• Motorcycles
• Spyder
• UTV / side-by-side
• Other recreational vehicles

Note: You will not necessarily be an expert on all vehicles from the start; training and support are provided to develop your skills gradually.

• Strong interest in mechanics and recreational vehicles; curiosity and ability to learn.
• Mechanical knowledge gained through training, experience, or personal projects.
• Logical mindset, problem-solving skills, and understanding of complex systems.
• Resourcefulness, autonomy, and attention to quality work.
• Respect for procedures and safety rules.
• Team spirit and desire for professional growth.
• Experience in automotive, parts, mechanics, machinery, heavy vehicles, small engines, or technical service is a plus.
• A DEP in recreational vehicle mechanics, small engines, or a related field is an asset.

Minimum experience: 1 year as a mechanic or technician.

Compensation and Progression

• $24 to $30/hour depending on experience and skills.
• Progression bonuses of up to $10/hour based on training and certifications.
• Annual salary review after performance evaluation.

Schedule

• Permanent full-time position.
• Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.
