Mechanic / Technician – Utility Vehicles

CamionsCommerciaux.ca, a specialist in commercial trucks in Quebec, is looking for a Mechanic / Technician to join our team in a dynamic and renovated dealership. You will be the only technician on site, enjoying a high level of autonomy and direct contact with a professional clientele.

Main Responsibilities

• Inspect and recondition units for sale; manage an inventory of approximately 65 utility trucks (panel van and cube).
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of utility vehicles (Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, GMC Savana).
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and quality control to ensure reliability and safety.
• Read and interpret schematics and diagnostic reports; propose technical solutions and write intervention notes.
• Prepare vehicles for delivery and ensure follow-up after repairs, possibly collaborating with the sales team.
• Manage parts and tools supply, and keep intervention documentation up to date.
• Follow safety standards and internal procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive mechanics; ideally on utility vehicles (Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, GMC Savana).
• Strong skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to work independently as the sole technician on site, with initiative and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license; fluent in French; functional English is an asset.
• Versatility and ability to adapt to a dynamic and autonomous environment.
