Job Description
Automotive Mechanic / Technician – Capitale Chrysler Québec (Laplante Auto Group)
We are looking for a passionate(a) automotive mechanic/technician to join the Capitale Chrysler Québec team. You will work on a variety of vehicles with a constant focus on quality, adherence to manufacturer procedures, and customer satisfaction.
About the position Join a recognized structure in the automotive network, within a family-owned and sustainable group. You will contribute to the smooth operation of the workshop by performing mechanical and technical interventions that meet industry standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and adjustments according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct road tests and diagnostics using specialized equipment and software.
- Read and interpret diagrams, reports, and technical documentation.
- Plan and coordinate interventions in collaboration with the service team.
- Maintain detailed technical records and document performed interventions.
Profile
- Training in automotive mechanics (diploma or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive mechanics.
- Knowledge of electronic systems and computer-assisted diagnostics.
- Team spirit, customer service orientation, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license; availability to respond as needed operationally.
- Good analytical skills, time management, and adherence to safety procedures.

Key Technical Tasks
- Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines.
- Diagnosis and repair of anti-pollution systems.
- Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles.
- Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning/heating systems.
- Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems.
- Electrical and electronic diagnostics and repairs.
- Programming ECM/PCM/ECU.
- Suspension and steering repairs.
- Brake system repair and maintenance (hydraulic).
Experience and Background
- At least 3 years as a Mechanic / Technician (or equivalent background).
- Experience through apprenticeships or work-study programs is a plus.
