About the position

Mazda Pointe-aux-Trembles dealership of Groupe GENX Automobile is seeking a motivated Mechanic / Technician - Journeyman to develop their skills in a modern and structured environment. The role focuses on learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles according to OEM standards and internal procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and common mechanical and electrical repairs (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electronics, diagnostics with specialized tools).
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and operational procedures.
• Ensure the quality of interventions and respect deadlines while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and the after-sales team.
• Accurately document interventions, complete work orders, and track parts used.
• Follow safety rules, hygiene standards, and internal policies.

Profile Sought

• DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent training in progress; at least 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred (apprentices accepted).
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and diagnostics; ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Good understanding of technical diagrams and repair procedures.
• Team spirit, customer service orientation, and willingness to learn.
• Fluent in French; technical English is an asset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability for flexible hours and summer schedule.

Skills and Certifications

• Preferred certifications: Halogenated hydrocarbons.
• CPA skill card (Apprentice 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year) is an advantage.
