Job Description
Purpose
Under the supervision of the Mechanical Coordinator, you ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of the company's entire fleet. Through your technical expertise and the quality of your work, you directly contribute to maintaining operations, reducing breakdowns, and optimizing productivity. You ensure that each vehicle, trailer, and equipment complies with safety standards, is secure, and ready to support the organization's daily activities.
Your role
- Perform preventive maintenance on the entire fleet (light and heavy vehicles, trailers, machinery, and forklifts): oil changes, filters, brakes, tires, belts, etc.
- Conduct seasonal tire changes.
- Carry out the pre-inspections required by the SAAQ and ensure vehicles are always in compliance.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the mechanical workshop.
- Perform occasional welding work.
Requirements
- Diploma in automotive mechanics or equivalent recognized training.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with both light and heavy vehicles (a significant asset).
- Valid driver's license (class 5 at minimum; class 3 is an asset).
- Resourceful, rigorous, and autonomous.
Conditions related to employment
- Salary: $26.00 to $34.00/hour
- Full-time permanent position
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Location: 67 Rang de l'Équerre, Laval, QC H7L 6A3
Tasks (diagnostics and repairs)
- Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines
- Diagnosis and repair of anti-pollution systems
- Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles
- Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning and heating systems
- Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems (gasoline)
- Electrical and electronic diagnosis and repair
- ECM - PCM - ECU programming
- Suspension and steering repair
- Brake system repair and maintenance (hydraulic)
Desired profile
- Minimum experience: 3 years as a mechanic/technician (light and/or heavy vehicles)
- Strong ability to diagnose and repair complex systems
- Ability to work independently while respecting safety procedures
- Good rigor and attention to quality work
- Excellent organizational skills and team-oriented mindset
