Experienced Mechanic / Technician – Canadian Tire Auto Centre, Greenfield Park (Longueuil, QC)
Context
A well-known auto center part of the Canadian Tire national network, located in Greenfield Park near Longueuil. We are seeking an experienced professional to ensure quality service in a dynamic, customer-oriented environment.
Mission
- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles, with a strong emphasis on electrical diagnostics and schematic reading.
- Use diagnostic tools and electrical schematics to locate faults, propose solutions, and validate repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer standards and internal procedures.
- Collaborate with technical advisors and center management to ensure exceptional customer service and improve road safety.
- Guarantee the quality of interventions, accurately document work, and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Technical Responsibilities
- Wheel alignment
- Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines
- Diagnosis and repair of anti-pollution systems
- Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles
- Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning and heating systems
- Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems
- Electrical and electronic diagnosis and repair
- ECM / PCM / ECU programming
- Suspension and steering repair
- Brake system repair and maintenance (hydraulic)
Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Certified mechanic by CPA, with solid experience in electrical diagnostics and schematic reading
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Autonomous, capable of working on a variety of vehicles and technologies, team player
- Valid driver's license; flexible availability
Certifications and Technical Skills
- CPA skill card (1, 2, 3 or A, B, C) or equivalent
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and schematic reading
- Ability to program control units (ECM/PCM/ECU)
