Certified Mechanic / Technician – Auto Service
Lévis, Quebec | Canadian Tire Lévis
We are looking for a certified Mechanic / Technician to join our auto service department. You will work within a dynamic, client-focused team where precision and quality are paramount. Profile sought: helpful, resourceful, with good observation and deduction skills. Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles according to manufacturer standards and our internal procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs.
- Use computerized diagnostic tools, read and interpret codes and diagrams; recommend repairs and parts.
- Document interventions and clearly communicate results and recommendations to the team and clients.
- Participate in parts management and inventory, and ensure deadlines and costs are met.
- Follow safety standards, emissions requirements, and quality policies.
- Collaborate with technicians and advisors to optimize customer satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Accredited Mechanic or recognized equivalent; automotive technician training/diploma appreciated.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive mechanics or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of engine systems, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and manuals.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team.
- Good observation and deduction skills; attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in French; English is an asset.
