Job Offer: Mechanic / Automotive Technician

Lachapelle Buick GMC is seeking a Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join a dynamic team dedicated to maintenance and repair of Buick and GMC vehicles. Join a quality service in a professional and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer standards and safety requirements.
• Read and interpret diagrams, error codes, and use modern diagnostic tools.
• Assemble, disassemble, and replace parts; adjust and test systems after intervention.
• Maintain intervention reports and ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the service team to provide a positive customer experience.
• Diagnose and repair gasoline engines, emissions systems, hybrid/electric vehicles, air conditioning and heating, injection, as well as electrical and electronic systems.
• Program and recalibrate control units (ECU/ECM/PCM); work on suspension, steering, and braking systems.

Profile and Skills

Essential Qualifications

• College diploma in automotive mechanics or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic / automotive technician.
• Good knowledge of engine, electrical, and electronic systems; ability to read diagrams and interpret error codes.
• Valid driver’s license and mobility to work on vehicles and tools.
• Ability to stand and handle tools safely.
• Team spirit, customer service orientation, rigor, and autonomy.

Additional Technical Skills

• Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engine systems, emissions systems, hybrids/electric vehicles.
• Air conditioning and heating systems.
• Injection systems, programming and recalibration of ECM/PCM/ECU.
• Suspension, steering, and hydraulic braking.
