Mechanic - Mobile Unit (Heavy Road Vehicles) – Sherbrooke and Surrounding Areas

Job Overview

You will be responsible for maintenance and repairs on heavy road vehicles within a mobile unit. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and testing, while ensuring effective communication with parts and technical teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair according to service calls.
• Determine the cause of faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain required parts.
• Label and store warranty parts or at the customer's request.
• Collaborate with technical advisors to suggest additional work or adjust scheduling based on constraints (off-road repairs, deadlines, etc.).
• Document all work on the repair order.
• Conduct road tests of the vehicle when necessary.

Desired Profile and Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics
• Diploma in heavy vehicle mechanics
• Class 3 driver's license required (Class 1 an asset)
• Good proficiency with computer tools
• Excellent customer service skills
• Versatility and autonomy
