Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice) – Saint-Lazare (Modern Workshop)

We are recruiting a motivated and passionate mechanic / technician (apprentice) to join our team at Octo Auto Service Plus, in Saint-Lazare, Quebec. This position is intended for a candidate looking to develop their skills in a structured workshop focused on quality service. Minimum experience required: 1 year in an automotive environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair the mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of vehicles under supervision and in collaboration with the team.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer procedures and workshop standards.
• Read and interpret plans, diagrams, and diagnostic codes; use appropriate diagnostic tools and software.
• Keep intervention reports up to date and document repairs in the internal system.
• Participate in quality control and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Provide courteous and transparent customer service, explaining interventions and recommendations.
• Actively participate in training and continuous improvement.

Profile Sought

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an automotive workshop or relevant technical training.
• Knowledge of engine systems, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems; ability to diagnose and troubleshoot.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and interpret fault codes.
• Team spirit, rigor, sense of responsibility, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Availability to attend internal training and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Valid driver's license (appropriate category).
