Fortier Ford – Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice) – Montreal East

Fortier Ford, a new dealership of the GENX Automobile group located in Montreal East, is looking for a motivated Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice) to join our dynamic team. A position focused on learning and professional development in a modern and structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles according to OEM standards and our internal procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and common mechanical and electrical repairs (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electronics) with diagnostics using specialized tools.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and operational procedures.
• Ensure the quality of interventions and respect deadlines, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and the service after-sales team.
• Accurately document interventions, complete work orders, and track parts used.
• Follow safety rules, hygiene standards, and internal policies.

Profile / Qualifications

• DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent training in progress; at least 1 year of experience in a similar role is an asset (apprentice accepted).
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and diagnostics, ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Good skills in reading technical diagrams and repair procedures.
• Team spirit, customer service orientation, and willingness to learn.
• Fluent French; technical English is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability for flexible hours and summer schedules.
