Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice) – Mazda Gabriel St-Jacques, Montreal

Mazda Gabriel St-Jacques, a workshop located in Montreal, Quebec, is seeking a Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice) to join its dynamic team. You will work alongside experienced technicians to develop your technical skills and provide high-quality customer service in a setting focused on excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians in diagnostics and repairs on light and utility vehicles.
• Participate in preventive maintenance (oil changes, inspections, replacement of wear parts, tests).
• Prepare and clean work areas; ensure the cleanliness and safety of the workshop.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment under supervision; document observations and interventions in repair orders.
• Perform simple test drives and validate proper functioning after repairs.
• Comply with safety standards and manufacturer and service center procedures.
• Contribute to parts management and stock tracking.

Desired Profile

• 1 year of experience in automotive mechanics or equivalent training; participation in an apprenticeship program or currently acquiring one.
• Ability to follow instructions, team spirit, and initiative.
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and reliability.
• Fluent in French; English is an asset.
• Valid driver's license (Class 5).
