Job Description
Position: Internal Technical Advisor - Preparation and Coordination (new and used) Chassé Toyota, located in the heart of Plateau-Mont-Royal in Montreal, is seeking an Internal Technical Advisor to join its team. This position focuses on preparing dealer vehicles (new and used), inspections, and coordination between departments, without direct customer interaction or auto repairs.
Mission and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all activities related to preparing vehicles for delivery (PDI, inspections, verifications, and compliance) for new and used stock.
- Manage documentation associated with each vehicle (technical sheet, history, certificates, delivery documents, warranties, etc.) and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as an operational interface between Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance departments to ensure smooth workflow compliant with Toyota standards and dealership requirements.
- Monitor discrepancies or non-conformities between departments and coordinate corrective actions within stipulated deadlines.
- Update internal systems and tools with the status and relevant information of each vehicle; produce and maintain dashboards and follow-up reports.
- Participate in continuous improvement of preparation and delivery procedures, and contribute to optimizing timelines and quality.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and quality standards for new and used vehicles.
- Participate in final control and inventory of vehicles in preparation to ensure error-free delivery.
Desired Profile
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role or related to operational/technical coordination within an automotive dealership.
- Knowledge of vehicle preparation processes and related delivery documentation management (PDI, inspections, compliance, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and collaborate with various departments.
- Good command of computer tools and systems used by dealerships; ability to update data and generate reports.
- Team spirit and good communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Bilingual in French; functional English is an asset.
- Relevant training in administration, logistics, or related field preferred.
