Body Shop Technician – Boucherville Body Shop

We are looking for a meticulous and passionate Body Shop Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles before painting work, ensuring the highest quality standards and working closely with body repairers and painters.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces before painting
• Perform manual and mechanical sanding of panels and parts
• Apply fillers and carry out necessary finishing work
• Clean, degrease, and mask vehicles before applying primer and paint
• Apply primers according to manufacturer procedures and recommendations
• Check the quality of preparation and correct imperfections before painting
• Dismantle and reassemble certain parts to facilitate repairs when required
• Use tools and equipment safely and in accordance with standards
• Keep a workspace clean, organized, and safe
• Collaborate with body repairers, painters, and other team members to meet deadlines
• Adhere to quality, health, safety standards, and internal procedures

Desired Profile

• Experience in vehicle preparation or a similar position (an asset)
• Good knowledge of preparation, sanding, masking, and primer application techniques
• Skillful in using industry-specific tools and equipment
• High level of meticulousness, attention to detail, and pride in work
• Manual dexterity and precision
• Team spirit, autonomy, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment while respecting deadlines
